SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA. June 3, 2004. Moseley Broadcast announced today that WCLG in Morgantown, West Virginia is now running twin uncompressed 44.1 KHz audio streams on 950 MHz aural STL in less than 500 HKz of bandwidth using 128 QAM.
According to Dave Chancey, Broadcast Sales Manager for Moseley, “The WCLG STL link was particularly well suited for this new feature. The short path with quiet RF noise floor allowed us the luxury of going to 128 QAM.” He also mentioned that at the site, if bit error performance was not satisfactory, they planned on going to Starlink’s standard 32KHz audio sampling/32 QAM configuration.
Moseley Broadcast has been creating solutions for the broadcast industry for over 40 years. The Moseley SL9003Q system used by WCLG combines the audio quality today’s stations demand with a straighforward plug-and-play design.
