SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA. July 20, 2004. Moseley Broadcast, a leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of electronic communications equipment for diversified global telecommunication and broadcast industries, announces the opening of a new Television Broadcast Sales office and appointment of John Bruffy as Television Broadcast Sales Engineer. Mr. Bruffy comes to Moseley Broadcast from dbK Communications Ltd., a broadcast engineering and consulting firm, with over 40 years of experience in broadcast and telecommunications.
Mr. Bruffy began his career in broadcasting in 1963 at a small college radio station with a Gates transmitter. His experience spans over four decades, holding positions from operations, engineering and design, manufacturing, marketing/sales, to company management. Completing a tour of duty with the USAF returning from Vietnam in 1967 he worked for the Atomic Energy Commission in HF transmitter at the Nevada test site.
Mr. Bruffy operated a telecommunications business through the 70’s and joined the RCA Service Company in 1980 as a field engineer for high power transmitters, later positions with Post Newsweek in Miami, and Midwest Communications as SE Regional RF Manager. He has served as Director of Engineering for two commercial broadcast groups, national sales manager for two transmitter manufacturers, regional director of engineering for PAX-TV, as well as, a professional broadcast RF consultant and manufacturer of solid-state transmitter and amplifiers.
